Job Title: Daycare Accountant

Description/Responsibilities: As our daycare accountant, you would be responsible for managing all financial aspects of our daycare centers, including (but not limited to) tracking income from tuition fees, managing expenses like staff salaries and supplies, preparing financial reports, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, all while maintaining accurate records specific to the childcare industry.

Key Responsibilities of our Daycare Accountant:

✅Financial Record Keeping:

• Record all daily transactions related to tuition payments, fees, vendor invoices, and staff payroll.

• Maintain detailed ledgers for income and expenses, categorizing them appropriately.

• Regularly reconcile bank statements to ensure accuracy.

✅ Compliance and Reporting:

• Ensure adherence to all state and federal regulations related to childcare financial reporting.

• Prepare required government forms and tax filings.

• Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.

✅ Other Duties:

• Assist with payroll processing, including calculating deductions and taxes.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits, credits, and double-entry bookkeeping.

• Software Proficiency: Expertise in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) to manage financial data effectively.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate records and identify discrepancies in financial information.

• Analytical Skills: Capability to analyze financial data and generate insightful reports for decision-making.

• Communication Skills: Clear communication with daycare management regarding financial matters.

Job Title: Director

Job Duties - Including, but not limited to, the following:

✅ Curriculum: Overseeing curriculum development and ensuring that all courses are approved

✅ Staff: Managing staff, including admission staff, certified agents, and teachers

✅ Students: Ensuring student discipline and providing leadership in student outcomes

✅ Community: Engaging with the community and parents, and promoting student well-being

✅ Budget: Preparing the annual budget and submitting it to the Board of Directors

✅ Compliance: Ensuring compliance with regulations and that the school is licensed and registered

✅ Resources: Managing resources and ensuring that they are used effectively

✅ Communication: Acting as a liaison between the Board, staff, students, and parents

✅ Reporting: Preparing written reports for the Board of Directors detailing receipts and expenditures

A school director should have skills in achievement focus, communication, job knowledge, judgment, and leadership.

• Room coverage at lunch and other times when necessary

• Maintain restroom sanitation

• Maintain cleanliness at Playground area

• Maintain Education and Craft/toy room organized and clean

• Attend training provided by the school

• Coordinating schedules for staff designed to optimize efficiency and workplace satisfaction

• Creating goals and benchmarks for students and teachers alike to track progress

• Developing programs to improve overall student and Teacher performance

• Meeting with the school board to report the status and progress of the school

• Meeting with parents to discuss concerns about students

• Additional duties as needed:

  (1) Opening the school

  (2) Receiving children by the main door

  (3) Washing lunch and snack dishes

  (4) Restroom attendant if needed

  (5) Preparing/ Serving lunch food

Directors report directly to the Owner with any questions or concerns they have regarding the children or center policy. If these personnel are not available at the time, they can report to the other site Directors.
